Pastor Barry was born in Brunswick, Georgia, and grew up in Augusta before moving to Lincolnton in 1989, where he graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1992.

His ministry journey has included working with youth and leading music at Loco Baptist Church. In 2023, he became the Chaplain for Barnett Southern and began preaching and lay speaking in churches throughout the area. He is an ordained Chaplain and Minister with a heart for sharing the Gospel and encouraging others to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Barry married his wife, Susan, in 2009 at Loco Baptist Church. Together, they have five children, a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and one grandchild. They are excited and honored to serve the New Hope Baptist Church Family.
